Jingle All the Way: Tree Decorating Workshop

In the famous words of Mariah Carey: it’s timeeeeee!

Join us for a jolly good time in Jingle House on Friday, November 29th anytime from 10 to 4 pm to decorate a festive tree. You not only get to pot up your tree, but you also get to decorate it! We’ll have tons of ornaments, tinsel, toppers, etc., for you to spruce up a Norfolk Pine or Rosemary tree.

Bring a buddy and prepare to deck the halls!

 

Workshop is on Friday, November 29th from 10-4PM. Workshop cost is $20/tree.

- Instruction on how to make your live wreath as well as how to take care of your wreath

Grab someone you love and enjoy a watercolor class with a full kit of materials to take home!

This workshop is beginner friendly, but also agreat learning experience for practicing artists. We will start by learning about watercolor materials, practice a few different watercolor techniques, and end the workshop with a final fall themed painting.

This workshop will also have a special emphasis on color mixing for fall colors!

Drawing skills are not necessary for this workshop!

You will leave with:

  • A kit of watercolor materials (paints, paintbrush, & paper) to use for further practice!

  • A final fall themed painting

  • A few surprises, courtesy of Meadowlark & Co

Growing Lion's Mane Mushrooms with Josh

Get ready for this extra, extra special workshop with our resident mycology guy, Josh!

This workshop will be an introduction to growing mushrooms, specifically using Lion’s Mane mushrooms. Josh will be talking all about Lion’s Mane mushrooms; how to nurture your mushroom kit, their medicinal benefits, and how to prepare them. Mushroom “spray and go” kits and instructions will be provided, as well as a non-alcoholic cocktail. Think of this as an ultimate gab-sesh about Lion's Mane mushrooms!

*We will not be using any inoculation methods*

Each participant will receive:

- One "Spray and Go" Lion's Mane Mushroom Growing Kit

- One spray bottle 

- Non-alcoholic cocktail

We will be demonstrating how to mount an orchid on to bark, as well as walking through the care of a mounted orchid. Dendrobium orchids are epiphytes, meaning they naturally grow on the sides of trees in the wild. You will receive your own plant and materials to create your very own mounted orchid!

This hands-on workshop is great for orchid enthusiasts or tropical plant lovers who want to explore alternative ways to growing an aroid plant.

Each participant will receive:

- 1x dendrobium orchid

- 1x cork to mount

- Fishing line, sphagnum moss, sheet moss, and all tools will be provided 

- A bevvy to quench your thirst!

Not familiar with cyanotype printing? No sweat! The wonderful folks from Moon Balloon will be around to assist and help with any questions.

Cyanotype printing is a process in which iron compounds are exposed to UV light. The print is then washed in water to create stunning blue toned images.

We will be using plant cuttings to create our prints!

We can't be the only ones itching for spring!

Join us for a relaxing evening in the workshop room as we pot succulent gardens together! Succulent gardens are a great way to transition into spring since most succulents can handle the cooler temps at night (50 degrees and up!) meaning they can live outside from springtime through early fall.

Not used to getting your hands dirty? No worries! We will walk you through how to pot up succulents, as well as sharing our best tips for optimal care.

Each participant receives:

- 7 inch Momma Pedestal Bowl with drainage 

- 6x 2-3" succulents

- Decorative soil topper (rocks, pebbles, turface, and other goodies!)

- Paired drink to sip on while you build your succulent arrangement!
