We will be demonstrating how to mount an orchid on to bark, as well as walking through the care of a mounted orchid. Phalaenopsis orchids are epiphytes, meaning they naturally grow on the sides of trees in the wild. You will receive your own plant and materials to create your very own mounted orchid!

This hands-on workshop is great for orchid enthusiasts or tropical plant lovers who want to explore alternative ways to growing an aroid plant.

Each participant will receive:

- 1x phalaenopsis orchid

- 1x cork to mount

- Fishing line, sphagnum moss, spanish moss, burlap and all tools will be provided 

- A bevvy to quench your thirst!

Learn how to set your seeds up for success this year with Rachel! 

In this workshop we will be talking about all things seeds:

- Seed starting set up

- Discussion around grow lights, heat mats, transplanting information and moisture containment

You will receive seeds for snapdragons, basil, tomatoes, and marigolds as well as recycled egg cartons and soil.

The air may still be too crisp and the ground too icy for flowers to bloom just yet in Lawrence, but that's no reason for February to be flower-free! Join us at Jungle House for a cozy night of learning the basics of crafting your own flowers from Italian and German crepe papers with Grace D. Chin.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have your own bouquet of blooms that won't wither or wilt - perfect for Valentine's/Palentine's Day gifting or for brightening your home while we wait for spring.

This workshop will be an introduction to growing mushrooms, specifically using Lion’s Mane mushrooms. Josh will be talking all about Lion’s Mane mushrooms; how to nurture your mushroom kit, their medicinal benefits, and how to prepare them. Mushroom “spray and go” kits and instructions will be provided, as well as a non-alcoholic cocktail. Think of this as an ultimate gab-sesh about Lion's Mane mushrooms!

Walk-in anytime from 10-4PM on Thursday, October 17th to build a terrarium to house your carnivorous flytrap.
